Gully Falls House is set on the edge of Barrington Tops National Park and Wilderness, just leave your door and follow the well marked walking track into the sub tropical Barrington Tops National Park and Chichester Forest, the most southern portion of the Tops.

Enjoy the luxury of the spa house, three walls of glass louvers gives you the feeling of being part of the native surrounds enjoy the therapeutic spa and the magical sounds of the waterfalls sipping the complementary bottle of champaign.

Visit the historic towns of Dungog shire. Clarence Town, Dungog, Gresford, Paterson and Vacy taking in one of the many cafes and wineries.

Pack a picnic and drive to one of many beautiful spots in the National Park, beach wood/strangle fig forest, Mt Allyn lookout and many others scenic spots. The shire has five pristine rivers with wonderful shady spots to picnic and swimming in the summer, Chichester Dam (hot water supplied for coffee, no swimming or boating) has good picnic and BBQ facilities, Lostock Dam has boating/swimming and BBQ facilities. Drive and walk maps are available at the house.

On the property apart from the ever present kookaburras, visitors are likely to see and hear bower birds, scrub turkeys, blue wrens, finches, swallows, rosellas, king parrots, wedge tail eagles, ducks, waterhen and many seasonal migrants such as rainbow birds and cuckoos, seed is supplied to feed the birds. The wallabies, kangaroos, possums, goannas and other lizards venture into the garden.

Feed the chooks and collect the eggs. Watching the sun disappear behind the Barrington Mountains from the top of the hill and counting the millions of stars at night while listening to the frog sonata at the camp fire with seating and wind shelter all wood supplied.

Locality


Only 20km from the centre of Dungog: drive north along Dowling St to the Obelisk, turn left into Hook St.

Continue to the Caltex Shop,(.9km) turn right into Chichester Dam Rd (the High School will be on your right).

Continue on the tar road going over the Williams River (concrete bridge) at Bandon Grove, (11.5km) follow the tar until the Y junction (4km) veer right, onto Wangat Trig Rd (gravel road), continue until you come to the sign to Gully Falls House, (2.4km) turn left.

Continue along the gravel road going through 2 gates, then follow the road down the hill until you reach your hideaway (1.5km)

Property


Gully Falls House has a large verandah all around the house so you can enjoy all the wild life and views.

The house is perched above the water falls of Jerusalem Creek. The falls are flood lit at night so out door eating is a must.

You have 168 acres to yourself, no neighours to worry about noise. The outdoor fire pit is a great place for a party and try your hand at cooking dinner in the camp-oven (instructions available).

Dogs are welcome under control as it is a working farm with baby animals. Dogs are allowed in the forests however not in the National Park or the Barrington Tops Wilderness. Horses are also welcome as you can ride from the house into the forest no busy roads to worry about.

Pets are allowed in the house on the ground floor only as the house is 2 story with carpet on the bedroom level. We provide a restraint for the steps. The property is 168 acre so dogs can run free but not chase the cattle they like a peaceful live.
