Locality


We are situated a stone's throw from Hamilton. Our village is Tarrington formerly"Hoch Kirch" there are named tourist walks in the village as its heritage is german and goes back 150 years. From the cottage you will see the steeple of St Michaels Church lit up of an evening. Should you be with us on a Sunday you will here the bells toll. tarrigton has a top class restaurant" CatalPa" . the cruisine here has been written up in the Age good food guide. Wander up and treat yourself to a coffee and their fine selection of home made cakes.

Tarrington is a days drive to the beach side towns of Warnambool, port Fairy and Portland. Further along the Limestone Coast is Mt Gambier and Robe. From here visit Penola and the wineries of the Coonawarra.

The Southern Grampions are accessed through the picturesque town of Dunkeld, a meal at the Dunkeld " Royal Mail Hotel" is not to be missed.
the region is famous for sheep, more sheep go through the Hamilton Sale yards than anywhere else world.
A Volcano park precident has been acclaimed in the area , from the cottage you will see Mt Rouse at penshurst and nearby are Mt Napier and Mt Peirre Point.
Maddigans at Penshusrt, the old General store is a must for coffee and Antiques

The The Coach Inn is a fully restored Miner's cottage nestled on 1 acre of Garden and Lawn. the kookaburras will enertain you and it is not uncommon to see koalas in the Gum trees

The local restaurant is also walking distance and has a pet friendly area. Ideal for a stroll and to have coffee with your dog.Guests are requested to bring all their own doggy needs. We charge a small fee for the dog.
