"The Oriental Apartment" has been decorated with your comfort in mind.
Decorated with simple oriental elgance,
providing a peaceful & harmonious atmosphere for you to relax & enjoy.

The Apartment has been recently renovated,with a modern elegant ensuite,R/C air conditioning to warm or cool you, as the season requires, TV/DVD with a large selection of FREE DVDs for you to select from.

The complete kitchen has a Modern stove & microwave,as well as anything else you may require in the kitchen.The Lounge also doubles as a comfortable sofa bed,if required.Books & magazines are also provided for your enjoyment.

The seperate bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed, with a stylish & modern ensuite off to the side.

The apartment overlooks some of the Gardens of "Golden Embers", and you also have your own private entry and off the street parking.

Golden Embers Apartments are only 2min drive to the Burnie /Wynyard Airport, great for those early morning flights.

Golden Embers Apartments are centraly located to many local attractions & pionts of interest.Burnie aprox 15min,Devonport, Stanley & The Nut aprox 45min,Dismal Swamp & The Tarkine Region less than 1hr & Cradle Mountain around 90mins.

Locality

Burnie (The 4th Largest City in Tasmania)is the largest town to Wynyard, aproximately 15min drive.

The coastal town of Burnie has undergone a massive transformation over the past 10 years.
Once known as an industrial township (where REFLEX paper is produced),it is now recognised for its Coastal beauty.
Drive down the main street and view the Clean,Clear Ocean glistening, in the sunshine.

WYNYARD, a thriving coastal community of close to 5000 population,and growing is one of Tasmanias BEST KEPT SECRETS.

Nestled just below Table Cape where, the brilliant colours of tulips abound,in spring during the annual "Tulip Festival" and the local & coastal scenery is Breath taking.

Come and see, for yourself, this wonderous region of Australia, and be enriched by its natural beauty.

Property

The original Homestead of "Golden Embers" (circa 1910) is of historical significance to the region.

The home was built for Arnold Blackwell & family, of "The Blackwell" sawmill family of Wynyard.
The homestead, although not photographed, is noted in the book WYNYARD, a pictorial History " as
"The house on the hill, that still stands" and so it does.

At some stage in the 60's or 70's the house was bricked over,to keep it warmer during winter,and the large,windowed,circular,conservatory at the front was added.It is now used as the Reception.

We have lovingly restored most parts of the home now, bringing it back to,if not surpassing,some of its former glory.
